Wedding stationery checklist for April

Hello April! The clocks have sprung forward, the lighter evenings are here and everything feels just a little bit more spring like. April is when the planning really ramps up whether your wedding is in the summer this year, or next. To keep you on track, here is my handy wedding stationery checklist for April.

1. Order your save the date cards

for 2025 and spring 2026 weddings

The ideal time to send your save the date cards is 12 to 18 months before your wedding.

If you are getting married in any time in 2025, now is the perfect time to get yours sent out.

If you have already set the date and secured your venue for 2026, then go ahead and send your save the dates too. Any time up to two years in advance is perfectly acceptable.

2. Order your wedding and evening reception invitations

for weddings from August to November 2024

I recommend sending your wedding invitations four to eight months ahead of the big day, which means you need to order them around six to ten months in advance. So, April is the perfect time to get your invitations sorted for late summer and autumn weddings. Don’t forget, you can get your production slots booked in for winter weddings now too. 3. Order your on the day stationery

for weddings from April to June 2024

If your wedding is in the next month or two, now is the time to confirm all the stationery you will need for the day itself. Things like an order of service (for a church wedding), an order of the day sign, a welcome sign, confetti bags, and maybe reserved seating cards. For your reception, a table plan, table numbers, place cards, menus, and and any other wedding signs. Click any of the pictures below for more inspo

4. Don’t forget the all important thank you cards

the last piece of wedding stationery you need

A personal, handwritten note to your nearest and dearest thanking them for their company, good wishes, and gifts is a must. If you have tied the knot in the last six months, then it’s not loo late!
