I first met with Lydia & Marcus in July, to begin planning their Christmas wedding invitations and stationery. With a December 28th date and venue being the stunning Elmore Court in Gloucester, the theme just had to be festive and traditional. We had an initial chat over Zoom where we talked about colour schemes, the stationery they would need, and the overall ‘feel’ of the wedding. Then I set about designing a seasonal suite of stationery for them.
After a few emails back and forth, we found a design that suited perfected. Featuring festive greenery (holly, eucalyptus, and evergreen) and rich, deep red florals.
Christmas wedding invitations for day and evening
Lydia and Marcus wanted to include a limited amount of guest information in their wedding invitations. They also had set up a wedding website for the finer details. We included the address within the guest information. Replies would be by email, so there was no need for a separate RSVP card. They settled on a simple folded card. Their names and date on the front cover, the invitation panel and all the additional information inside.
Matching evening invitations were created, as a simple flat card printed on one side.
To keep the invitations as sustainable as possible, they were printed onto 100% recycled and recyclable white cardstock. Supplied with recycled kraft envelopes for posting.
A matching Christmassy wedding order of service
The wedding ceremony was to take place in church. Lydia and Marcus wanted a traditional order of service to match their Christmas wedding invitations. An A4 card, printed both sides, and folded to A5 was plenty of space to include everything they wanted to including the words for their three hymns, prayers, and readings. Lydia and Marcus went with my recommendation to print just one order of service booklet between two guests.
Table stationery to coordinate with the Christmas wedding invitations
To keep the festive, Christmas wedding invitation theme running throughout the day. I created a welcome sign, table plan, table numbers, and place cards for the wedding reception at Elmore Court.
The welcome sign and table plan were printed at my most popular A2 size, onto recyclable eco display board.
Table numbers were backed with a deep red, to tie in with the printed Christmas floral design. I create my table numbers tent style. They can either be used free standing at low level, or folded flat to go into clip stands.

The place cards, as well as guest names, included a little note on the back encouraging guests to pick up a sparkler ready for a dazzling photo opportunity with the newlyweds.

A final, Christmas themed finishing touch
Lydia and Marcus wanted to add a little personal touch to each room that their guests would be staying in for the night of the wedding. They adapted my reserved seating tags, and changed the wording to suit. The result: gorgeous, personalised tags to hang on each bedroom door, welcoming their nearest and dearest.

What the happy couple said about their Christmas wedding invitations and stationery
All the stationery looks great – especially order of service and the room labels! Thank you so much for your help – you have made it very stress free and been super communicative which is really appreciated!
We could not recommend Jo enough, she is super friendly, helpful and very communicative. She went above and beyond to ensure our stationery was delivered when there were crazy mail strikes happening, which was really appreciated. We loved Jo’s designs and she worked with us to get our finalised pieces. Thank you so much!
