Emily contacted me in April, she was on the hunt for eco wedding stationery for her and James’ big day in June. They had sent their invitations digitally but needed a few pieces of wedding stationery and signage for the big day itself. Their wedding was a weekend long celebration, held at the stunning Fforest Weddings venue in Cardigan, west Wales. With a super relaxed and rustic vibe, the day would be filled with colour and flowers. They wanted their stationery to reflect this, and to be as sustainable as possible. Here’s the suite of eco friendly wedding day stationery that I designed and created for Emily & James’.
A bespoke monogram design with colourful wildflowers
To give all the stationery a coordinated look, I designed a bespoke monogram motif for Emily and James. Their initials surrounded by a hoop of colourful, watercolour wildflowers. This ‘logo’ would feature on all of their eco wedding stationery. This floral hooped monogram design was made using elements of my meadow flowers collection.

Seed paper order of the weekend cards
Many of Emily & James’ guests would be staying on site, and would receive customised ‘welcome bags’ in their rooms. I designed personlaised cards to go with these bags, printed with the guests’ names along with a timeline highlighting events of the weekend. These were printed onto seed paper, along with instructions on how to plant them.

Eco friendly wedding signs
With a series of celebrations and eating and drinking opportunities happening over the weekend, there was a call for a few different wedding signs. All of my wedding signs are printed onto fully recyclable display board, made from FSC certified paper. I don’t use any plastic or acrylic in my wedding signs. Welcome signs were printed at A1 size, the largest signs I produce and perfect for making an impact, especially at a larger, airy venue.

Smaller signs for Emily & James were printed at A3 size, these are really good for placing on tables for announcing things like signature cocktails, cake flavours (or donuts as Emily & James had!), and more

Biodegradable natural flower petal confetti
For the wedding ceremony, Emily chose my personalised confetti bags. These little bags are made from fully recyclable, glassine paper and can be printed with whatever design you would like. Here I used that colourful, floral monogram motif and a simple ‘Throw Some Love’ message. Each bag is filled with a handful of UK grown, natural, dried flower petals. Just enough for each guest to ensure you get that perfect confetti shot!

Pro Tip
Jo
I recommend at least one bag of confetti between two guests. You can make sure they are evenly distributed by placing them on every other chair at the ceremony.

Eco friendly wedding table plan
After the wedding ceremony itself, the wedding breakfast was held in a barn at the venue. I designed a table plan, again printed on the eco display board, featuring the wedding monogram logo. The table plan was printed at A1 size, in a landscape format as this suited the layout of the tables best.

Bespoke, recycled card table name cards
Emily & James named their wedding breakfast tables after beaches in Wales. I designed simple tent style cards to place on each table, with the name and their colourful, floral wedding monogram. These table names were printed onto recycled card, and were fully recyclable after the event.

Personalised wedding menus with name tags
While the same menu was being served to everyone at the wedding breakfast, Emily and James did have a few guests with particular dietary requirements. To accommodate this, we designed personalised menus for each guest. A simple (recycled) card printed with the floral hoop monogram and the menu, finished with a name tag printed on sage green. The tag was tied with natural, pure silk ribbon.

Recycled card wedding thank you cards
To round off their eco wedding stationery suite, Emily & James asked me to design some thank you cards. These were very simple postcard style, printed on one side with their wedding monogram and blank on the back for them to write their own personal, handwritten note. The cards were printed on 100% recycled card and I supplied them with recycled, brown kraft envelopes.

Eco wedding stationery for Emily & James
So that was the full suite of eco wedding stationery that I designed for Emily & James’ big day at Fforest Weddings in west Wales. A relaxed and colourful design with watercolour style wild flowers, printed onto eco friendly and sustainable materials wherever possible. The monogram was a semi bespoke design, based on one of my existing House Collections.
