For your church wedding ceremony
Do you need an order of service?
An order of service booklet contains the details of your wedding ceremony, including music, readings & hymns. It helps to guide your guests through the ceremony and gives them those all important words so they can sing along at the appropriate times!
You might also like to include details of the bridal party and perhaps a personal thank you note for your guests.
Shapes & sizes
Small – 10cm x 15cm
Perfectly pocket sized, most popular
Large – 15cm x 21cm
A more traditional size (A5 or A4 folded in half)
Amazingly you can fit pretty much the same amount of detail in either size (and not with a font size so small it’s unreadable).
Of course, if you’d like a different size or shape just let me know and I’ll see what I can do!
How many pages?
My standard prices include up to 8 printed pages inside a card cover, but you can have more or less depending on the number of hymns and other text you might want to include. If you’re after a budget friendly option (and don’t have lots of hymns) then the large size as a simple folded card printed both sides is sometimes enough.
Eco friendly order of service
All my order of service booklets are printed on recycled and/or recyclable board and paper. Fully personalised printing is included.
I try to keep waste to an absolute minimum, so aim to make all my wedding stationery easily recyclable at the end of it’s life.

Get your proofs by email. Revise until you’re 100% happy & approve.
5. GET YOUR STATIONERY
Either collect your finished stationery from my studio or we can arrange delivery.

Order of service
A simple order of service design to coordinate with your stationery is perfect. Perhaps a kraft card outer tied with lace or twine for a rustic theme, or crisp white or ivory with a fine satin or silk ribbon for a more classic & elegant look.
If you are having a floral or botanical design on your invitations, using an element of that as an accent on your order of service will help to pull your theme through the ceremony.
How many do you need?
I recommend having at least one order of service per couple or family plus a few spares.
Many couples prefer to order one per guest, it’s completely up to you and what’s within your budget.
Don’t forget to include some extras for the minister and the choir if they need them.
What do you put in an order of service?
The exact details to include and the order it all goes in can vary quite a lot from church to church. As a general guideline you should include:
- Couple’s names, wedding date, ceremony time & church
- Entrance music
- Hymns (include all words in full)
- Readings (what and who they will be read by)
- Details of any music/musicians played during the signing of the registers
- Recessional music
- Details of the Bridal Party
- Any special thank yous if you want to
Always check with your minister or church first as they often have a standard template for you to follow.
