A perfectly printed calendar for the month of your wedding with the big day highlighted makes for a fabulous save the date card. Printed onto recycled card or plantable seed paper for a super sustainable option. Give a hint to your wedding colours if you want to!

Recycled kraft card save the dates
Have your save the date cards printed onto recycled and recyclable card. This makes helps to keep them sustainable and cut down on waste. Remember that recycled card isn’t always brown! I have recycled and sustainably produced cards in a whole rainbow of colours, there’s sure to be something perfect for your wedding.

Seed paper save the date cards
My personal favourite eco friendly save the date cards are printed on plantable seed paper. These are the ultimate in sustainability. When your guests have popped your dig date in their calendar they can plant the card and watch the wildflowers grow.

So that’s it, my top 5 eco friendly save the date card ideas. If you’re planning on having save the date cards for your wedding, remember that you can send them up to two years in advance. The norm is around 18 months before, following up with invitations 4 to 6 months ahead of the big day.
