I do love an end-of-year wrap-up, don’t you? And it seems like everyone is doing it. So, here’s my version. A little peak into 2023 here at the By Jo studio in Cardiff.
We made stationery for 115 weddings
Thank you to the 115 couples who have allowed me to play a teeny, tiny part in their big days. It’s been a blast!
The busiest month for weddings was, unsurprisingly, August when I worked on a whopping 21 big days. Closely followed by June with 20 weddings. The most popular day for By Jo couples in 2023 was June 17th, you all love a midsummer wedding! Interestingly, the second most popular day was October 7th, and we loved all the Autumn theme stationery for those.

And 83 of those weddings in were here in Wales
Of course, a big chunk of those weddings were held here in Wales. I do love to work with local couples. Most popular venues? Well, those were Llechwen Hall and Canada Lodge, both practically on the doorstep of my little studio here in Taffs Well.

We made 5216 wedding invitations
3939 of those were wedding invitations, and 1277 evening invitations. Flat card style invites were by far the most popular, followed by pocketfold and concertina styles.

What about on the day stationery?
Well, as you might expect, top of the pops was the humble place card. We made a whopping 2451 of them. Next on the list were menus, with lots of you opting for a personalised one for each guest.

You loved seed paper for your wedding invitations and stationery
You are loving the eco friendly options for invitations and stationery. Over 20% of invitations and 15% of the place cards we made were printed onto plantable paper. I love this material and I really hope to be using it more in 2024!

Floral themed wedding invitations and stationery were most popular
Florals have been a huge trend, with over 40 of the weddings we worked on having a theme. But, the most popular design overall was my Modern Monogram collection. It’s so versatile!
