2021 wedding? We can’t wait!
2020 has been quite the year and I think we’re all looking forward to 2021 and hoping it brings happier and more settled times. One thing we do know is that it’s going to be full of weddings, really full.
With all the postponements from this year we’re buckling up for a busy twelve months. With this in mind I thought it would be a good idea to give you some pointers on when you should be getting your stationery ordered for your big day next year.
If 2021 is your originally planned wedding date, chances are you haven’t thought about sending your invitations just yet. Maybe you’ve sent save the date, maybe not.
Save the date
In normal times (whatever they are) we’d suggest sending your save the date cards 18 months to 2 years ahead of your big day. Often, for weddings out of ‘peak season’ save the date cards aren’t an essential. With 2021 looking to be busy with weddings all year they are definitely worth considering. Check out our range of save the date cards here.
2021 wedding invitations
You’d normally send your invitations three to six months before the wedding. For 2021, we think it’s a good idea to send your invitations a little earlier, around six to ten months in advance, especially for those peak summer months (May to September).
So when exactly should you send those 2021 wedding invitations?
Check my little table below for your wedding month to see exactly when I would recommend sending your invitations.
Your wedding month | When to send your invitations |
January 2021 | March 2020 to July 2020 |
February 2021 | April 2020 to August 2020 |
March 2021 | May 2020 to September 2020 |
April 2021 | June 2020 to October 2020 |
May 2021 | July 2020 to November 2020 |
June 2021 | August 2020 to December 2020 |
July 2021 | September 2020 to January 2021 |
August 2021 | October 2020 to February 2021 |
September 2021 | November 2020 to March 2021 |
