Simple, elegant, timeless
Wedding or evening invites?
The flat style can be used for wedding or evening invites, but I think they are most suited to evening invitations where your guests probably don’t need so much information.
The most simple flat invites are a single piece card printed one side. On some designs the back can be printed too. You can include more layers of card if you want to.
Ribbons and wax seals can also be added for extra embellishment.
Shapes & sizes
Postcard – 10cm x 15cm
Printed portrait or landscape, the most popular for evening invites
5 x 7 – 13cm x 18cm
A classic greeting card size, slightly smaller than A5 (A4 folded in half)
Square – 14cm x 14cm
Classic and elegant, perfect for a wedding invitation
Printing and envelopes are included with all wedding and evening invitations. If you’d like a different size or shape, just ask.
What about the extra details?
If you want to include additional info cards (gift poem or a reply card maybe) with your flat wedding or evening invites you can. With some designs I can print the back of the invite too with some extra details.
Bellybands can be card or vellum simply printed. Badges and wax seals add extra detail. Alternatively they can be tied around with ribbon or twine, adding a personalised tag if you like.
Eco friendly wedding invitations
All my wedding and evening invites are printed on recycled and/or recyclable board and are supplied with recycled envelopes. Fully personalised printing is included.
I try to keep waste to an absolute minimum, so aim to make all my wedding stationery easily recyclable at the end of it’s life.

When to send evening invites
Evening invitations can be sent nearer to the wedding than the wedding invitations, but many couples choose to send them all at the same time. I recommend sending your wedding invitations around 6 to 8 months before the big day. If you wait until a little later to send your evening invites, you always have the opportunity to upgrade a guest or two if someone on your day list can’t make it!
One per couple or family
You should send evening invitations to those guests who will be attending the evening reception only. Remember that your guests from the day will not need an additional invitation to your evening reception. Don’t forget, you’ll only need one invitation per couple or family, not one per guest. Always include a few spares for unexpected additions to the guest list and of course a keepsake for yourself.
Wedding & evening invite designs
I can make flat wedding and evening invites in any of my wedding stationery designs. Whether you’re looking for classic, elegant, rustic or floral I have something to suit you and your wedding. Make them your own; mix and match between the designs, switch up the materials, change the colours and the print. The possibilities are endless.
