Why pocketfold invitations?

Pocketfold wedding invitations are a really great way to include your invitation as well as extra details and reply cards.

Mine all include a fixed invitation panel, plus a guest information card and a reply card (with an envelope, printed with your address) in the pocket. You can add extra inserts such as menus or gift poems if we can’t fit all the details on the included information card.

For extra detail and colour on the inside of the pocketfold I can add borders or ‘mats’ to the invitation panel and the largest guest information card.

Shapes & sizes

Postcard – 10cm x 15cm
A lovely pocket size, my most popular

5 x 7 – 13cm x 18cm
A classic greeting card size, slightly smaller than A5 (A4 folded in half)

Square – 14cm x 14cm
With either a fold at the top or the side (book fold)

Printing and envelopes are included with all pocketfold wedding invitations. If you’d like a different size or shape, just ask.

Bellyband or ribbon closure

Some pocketfolds have a single fold with a pocket so they stand up on their own (like a greetings card). Others have an extra fold and flap (so they look more like an envelope) held closed with a bellyband or ribbon.

Bellybands can be card or vellum simply printed. Badges and wax seals add extra detail. Alternatively they can be tied around with ribbon or twine, adding a personalised tag if you like.

Laser cut pocketfolds

Want to add a little extra luxe to your pocketfold wedding invitations?

Laser cut pocketfolds are available in the 5 x 7 and square sizes. Often they need very little extra embellishment other than a simple bellyband or ribbon tie – add a tag if you like.

These look great with floral printed details on the inserts.

When to send invites

You should aim to send your wedding invitations 6 to 8 months before the big day. This will allow you plenty of time to receive and collate all the responses and confirm your final guest numbers.

Don’t forget, you’ll only need one invitation per couple or family, not one per guest. Always include a few spares for unexpected additions to the guest list and of course a keepsake for yourself.
